Bug fixes and some more enjoyable visual mechanics
Update
I worked on polishing some important details and fixing bugs:
-
Area transitions: when entering a new area, walls now disappear. The effect is still abrupt (no smooth fade yet), but it already improves visibility and exploration. Later I plan to replace this with proper shaders or smooth transparency.
-
Interaction prompts: fixed an issue where the “Press E” prompt wasn’t appearing correctly in certain situations. Now it shows up reliably whenever the player can interact.
-
Ending sequence: reworked the final part of the demo — it now triggers correctly and includes a visual cue that helps guide the player on what to do.
-
Dialogues: updated some lines of dialogue that didn’t make much sense before. These changes also prepare the ground for future key interactions in the story.
Dialogue skipping: pressing Space now reveals the full line instantly, skipping the typing animation. This is different from before, where pressing Space would immediately jump to the next dialogue box. The new system makes conversations smoother and gives the player more control.
Language: correction of language errors in another language, now only in English.
I haven’t added new animations, interactions or new sounds yet, but these fixes already make the experience smoother and more pleasant.
